So we started our mini medic course yesterday at John Gibbard School in Sharnbrook. Went off to a great start!!
The children loved the first part of the course and everyone got involved, just in case people don't know what the mini medics course is. Well its a after school club we are doing for children at different schools in the surrounding counties. We teach them the basics in first aid and hopefully this will be life skills they can carry on learning through out.
It is amazing to see how smart these young children are, they pick up things so easy and are a pleasure to teach as you can see them learning. Hopefully the course will be an overall success over the 5 weeks and we will be hitting a few more schools so lots of children can learn first aid.
What are we teaching them? Well here is a list of all the things we teach them.
Emergency numbers, What to say to an operator, What's in a First Aid Box.
DR ABC, Recovery position, CPR
Choking, more CPR, Asthma
Epilepsy, Auto Injectors, Burns
Bleeding and bandaging
This is everything we will be teaching the children and hopefully they will enjoy and learn throughout. If you have any questions about the mini medic courses then please contact us.
